I have been teaching at Notre Dame Academy for the past three years and it has been a gratifying experience. The fifth graders and their parents have been welcoming, kind, and supportive. Before teaching fifth grade at NDA, I taught second grade and fourth. I also had the opportunity of teaching sixth grade Literature. Teaching for the past eight years has been fun and fulfilling. My students drive and eagerness to learn makes my job extremely rewarding.
My hobby is to travel and experience other cultures. One of the many benefits of teaching is vacation time. I have traveled to many different countries, and I enjoy sharing my travel stories with my students. I have great memories riding a donkey in Santorini, Greece, sightseeing over London on the London Eye, touching the stones at Stonehenge in the English countryside, walking on the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland, making a wish at the Trevy fountain in Italy, eating a slice of sachertorte in Vienna, enjoying fireworks under the Eiffel tower, tree gliding in the Costa Rican rainforest, and walking through the Piazza San Marco in Venice. Changing one student at a time is what makes me passionate about teaching. |
