Notre Dame Academy Elementary School is a private, Catholic, co-educational institution owned and operated by the Sisters of Notre Dame. In accordance with our philosophy, NDA is seeking students who are committed to being formed as morally-focused, Catholic-Christian leaders who have a concern for the well-being of others, are motivated to achieve their full academic potential, and are committed to striving to be well-rounded socially with peoples of varied ethnic, cultural, and financial backgrounds.

General Admission Policies for all Grades:

 All families seeking admission must submit:
· a copy of the child(ren)’s baptismal certificate(s)
· a parish involvement/financial verification form (sent directly from parish)
· report card/ evaluation from current teacher
· “current school” form as to parent involvement (all) /completion of financial obligations (if transferring from a private school)

 Students seeking admission to Kindergarten will need to:
· Be 5 years of age by August 31st
· Pass a kindergarten developmental readiness test
· Have a report/evaluation from the preschool teacher (If applicable)
· Provide current immunization records
· Provide a pastor letter
· Complete the school application packet

Students seeking admission to Grade 1 will need to:
· Be 6 years old by August 31st
· Pass a developmental readiness test
· Demonstrate a readiness in academics, behavior, and social development for Grade 1 by successfully completing kindergarten
· Have a report card and/or confidential report from the kindergarten teacher
· Provide current immunization records
· Provide a pastor letter
· Complete the school application packet

Students seeking admission to Grades 2 – 7 will need to:
• Provide a current report card having no grade lower than a C
• Provide a copy of standardized test scores with no percentile rank lower than the 50th percentile
• Pass a grade level readiness test commensurate with NDA standards
• Provide current immunization records
• Provide a pastor letter
• Complete the school application packet
• Have the principal of the current school complete and return the present school form (If currently enrolled in a private school)

As a Catholic school, Notre Dame Academy’s first obligation is to Catholic students who qualify for admission, especially those who are actively involved in their parishes. Students of other religions are welcome but can only be admitted as space becomes available.

Notre Dame Academy admits students who qualify for admission without discrimination of gender, race or cultural background. 

*Due to the difficulty of adjustment to a new school with only one year remaining, students are rarely accepted into Grade 8.
